The change in the social and political situation in Russia has led to realisation that foreign languages educational system in primary school is inadequate, and, therefore, there is a certain need of changing educational standards. The author of the article describes and compares educational standards in Russia and EU, as well as suggests several ways to improve FGOS educational programmes.
