The article deals with the analysis of interpretation as a key aspect of the interpretative theory of translation. Special attention is given to the ways of achieving the adequacy of translation with the examples of political discourse translation. The article also discusses the steps of the translation process in accordance with the interpretative approach. Examples are analyzed.
