      <abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p>Euphemistic units, as components of a specific layer of vocabulary of the Russian language, are widely used in all socially significant spheres of human life. The study of military euphemisms contributes to the formation of the systemic understanding of the Russian language among cadets, as well as to developing their communicative and cultural competence. This linguistic phenomenon should be included in the Russian language training program for cadets of military educational institutions in Vietnam in order to enrich military terms. Based on systematization, generalization, analysis of the articles from Russian newspapers, magazines and television news broadcasts, this article poses and solves the problem of considering the linguistic specificity of military euphemisms. It also offers a set of exercises for working with euphemisms in advanced Russian language classes for cadets of military educational institutions in Vietnam. This, in turn, can become a prerequisite for further studies in pedagogical and linguistic fields.</p>
