Academic English education as a method of forming students’ motivation to participate in academic mobility program

This article is devoted to the academic mobility of Russian students. The author examines disadvantages of the Russian educational system, which impede students’ participation in Academic Mobility Programs. The lack of language skills including academic English skills and the lack of academic competence are two serious limitations on the opportunity. According to the author, both these factors are related to the shortcomings of Russian system of higher education, in particular, the lack of academic writing courses.
