Social and cultural aspects of a linguist’s communication conflict competence

The research draws upon the development of communication conflict competence in Linguistics students in order to make for effective professional communication. The author points out the fact that the quality of interacting in native and foreign languages lowers and speak for necessity to focus educational activities of higher school on ‘speaking man’. The author examines distinctive features of a “language personality”, and ways of communication conflict competence development. The author recommends that the subject of Verbal conflictology be introduced into Linguistics curriculum.
