Teaching writing at primary school level

The article deals with the problems of building writing skills of primary school students (the English language). In the research the data were collected showing low-level writing performance of the majority of Moscow municipal schools‘ students who have taken the test. The author suggests the ways of improving current teachers‘ techniques by introducing a new approach based on Elkonin-Davydov theory of learning activity.
