Abstract:

The article discusses teaching English as a foreign language through theatre production. It draws on the factual teaching experience of a group of sophomores at the Faculty of Physics of Saint-Petersburg State University and describes advantages of the drama approach to teaching English to students of physics. Dramatic activities energize students, make them feel positive, ready to work and encourage their creativity. It is proved that such an approach is beneficial for both learners and teachers.
