The article deals with Academic writing as a separate aspect for English teaching in technical universities. The article gives a detailed description of the tasks to be performed for successful implementation of this activity. Among them, the most important are the creation of ideas about the laws of academic writing construction, learning text organization skills. Emphasis is on the quality evaluation system on the example of Open University, UK, and training students of phased work.
