Artificial intelligence defines new directions in the teaching methodology of various disciplines, improving the educational process. The author addresses the peculiarities of the educational process organization using artificial intelligence in foreign language education for the development of critical thinking skills. The article focuses on the analysis of teaching practice in the program «Translator in the field of professional communication», considers the pedagogical conditions allowing critical thinking skills formation. Introduction of artificial intelligence tools into the practice of foreign language education makes it relevant to study their effectiveness and limitations, which optimizes the learning process. The purpose of the study is to analyze techniques for developing critical thinking skills with the example of tasks using artificial intelligence tools. Research methods are analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, observation. The research results in the presented algorithm allowing learners to develop the skill of working with information, searching for it, and critically analyzing the result. The approach to learning using artificial intelligence tools should be based on the activity principle, implemented through problem-based learning and interactive forms of teaching.
