Abstract:

University teachers increasingly complain about the low efficiency of traditional lectures. They note that students have stopped listening and taking notes attentively and have begun to skip lectures more often. The low efficiency of lectures is also evidenced by the results of studies conducted both in our country and abroad. As a result, teachers increasingly turn to the practice of active learning and use interactive lectures. Opinions on the structure and principles of such lectures differ. This article provides a rationale for the development and conduct of interactive lectures from the standpoint of active pedagogy. Based on the game theory developed by the author, an interactive lecture is considered to be a variant of an educational behavioral game that allows to implement a subject-to-subject approach and overcome the negative characteristics of traditional lectures. A conclusion is made on the need to abandon the division of classes into lectures and practical ones. According to the author, this will improve the quality of training specialists at university.
