The article reveals the didactic potential of the usage of mobile educational technologies for students’ independent work in the field of foreign language in technical university. Special attention is given to the clarification of the key term «mobile educational technologies». It is established that the possibilities of the application of mobile educational technologies allow us to emphasize the student identity in the virtual educational environment.
