Conditions for the development of students’ intercultural skills based on communicaive-ethnographic approach

Communicative-ethnographic approach is one of the modern innovative approaches, which aim to create optimal conditions for the development of learners’ intercultural competence in immersion. This paper addresses the issue of psychological and pedagogical conditions for the development of students’ intercultural skills based on communicativeethnographic approach. Literature review enabled the author to define the following conditions: a) students’ motivation to develop intercultural competence in immersion; b) immersion into the authentic cultural and language environment; c) the use of problem-solving assignments and methods of ethnography.
