The article analyzes the experience of adapting authentic textbooks in the English language classes. It discusses the possibility and the need of adapting authentic textbooks while teaching medical English. The experience of creating adaptation textbook for students of NorthWestern State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov is described in details, such as special tasks, the use of video clips, glossary.
