Development of translation strategies for audiovisual news reports

The article deals with the features of audiovisual translation of news reports and teaching guidelines for this type of translation. The literature and relevant scientific studies on the topic are analysed. The article also represents the results of the survey considering the preferences of Russian viewers in terms of audiovisual news content. The authors pay special attention to the influence of mass media on the society and the elaboration of applicable translation strategy, based on the principles of adaptation, localization and standardization.
