LANGUAGE PERSONALITY THESAURUS IN THE STRUCTURE OF MODERN SPECIALIST’S PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE

Abstract. Based on goals, objectives and character of professional activities of modern specialists, stated in Federal state standards in various areas of training, it becomes clear that modern specialists need to master the conceptual vocabulary of the professional field in Russian and foreign languages. This review article discusses the approaches and structure of the professional competence of a modern specialist. The main method of this study was the theoretical analysis of regulatory documents, scientific, scientific and methodological literature devoted to the professional competence of a modern specialist. The formation of a professional thesaurus is a key element in the training of future specialists, which emphasizes its importance in the structure of professional competence. Due to globalization and worldwide development of technologies, the authors claim that it is relevant to study and clarify the definition, structure of the thesaurus of a linguistic personality. It allows to improve the formation of lexical competence in training qualified personnel for future work. The authors reveal the connection between the structure of professional competence and the requirements of the Federal state standards. The article indicates the importance of the lexical competence formation in a modern specialist in the framework of the language personality thesaurus. Lexical competence covers not only the knowledge of words and their meanings, but also the ability to use them in different contexts, which is especially important for effective and successful interaction between specialists in the professional field. The authors highlight language personality`s thesaurus as a complex system of skills and experience. It includes the terms and concepts grouped in relevant topics, values and culture, determining the professional identity and linguistic personality of a modern specialist.
