METHODOLOGICAL AUDIT OF DIGITAL MICROLEARNING TOOLS FOR LEXICAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
Abstract. The article presents the results of a methodological audit of digital microlearning tools used for lexical skills development. A comprehensive system of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of digital tools has been developed, including technological and methodological components. A classification of microlearning tools is proposed, considering their functional capabilities and didactic potential at various stages of lexical skills formation. Seven categories of tools are identified: lexical relationship visualization, interactive video content, exercise generators, corpus tools, storytelling tools, augmented reality and gamification tools. Based on the detailed analysis of StoryJumper as a representative of storytelling tools, the methodology for applying the developed criteria system is demonstrated. Methodological recommendations for integrating various types of digital tools into the educational process are formulated, considering the stages of lexical skills formation and microlearning principles. The research has practical significance for foreign language teachers, providing criteria for selecting digital tools in accordance with specific methodological objectives.
