Abstract. The article studies the implementation of the Project-Based Learning in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language academic speech style in a multinational audience of technical specialization with the level of Russian language proficiency B1. Based on the results of the pedagogical experiment, we have analyzed the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning by the aspects of motivation and developing communicative skills. The research methodology included the Project-Based Learning, qualitative analysis of the experiment results and observation method. The study has practical significance for teachers of Russian as a foreign language, as the results can be used to develop methodological materials and curricula.
