Significance of sms-lexicon as an essentially new type of communication and its resources in teaching foreign languages

The article is devoted to analyzing the main principles of SMS communication. Such concepts as SMS communication and SMS lexicon, the logic of SMS-neologisms formation are considered. The authors consider possibilities of using this type of modern communication in the course of teaching and offer a number of tasks with the usage of SMS lexicon on the basis of the principles of SMS communication.
