The semantics of health in the algorithms of students’ psychophysical development is considered. Comparative analysis of the physical training didactic patterns was carried out in University students. The psychological mechanisms priority against those of physiological ones in special physical training programs was established. Gender distinctions of the psychological and physiological components in sports pedagogical process are discussed
