Abstract:

The study examines interpreters’ conduct in non-standard and high-level situations requiring immediate decision-making about the interpretation of profanities. The study stresses that the conscious use of profanities in presentations must be reflected in the interpretation, but as a rule, it should be done so in a somewhat defused form. This aspect of the practice of interpretation must be taken into account when training young interpreters.
