Pedagogical conditions for teaching undergraduates in a military university to practice foreign language activities

The relevance of learning a foreign language by master students of military universities is determined by the current political and economic conditions, the requirements of the modern education system and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The aim of this article is to identify psychological and pedagogical factors influencing foreign language learning in the conditions of military higher education institution. The paper is based on the theoretical analysis of Russian and foreign literature in the field of general and military pedagogy, psychology, foreign language teaching methodology, andragogy, linguistics, as well as the analysis of domestic and foreign experience on the research topic. The conclusion is made, that pedagogical conditions of teaching master students of military higher education institutions to engage in foreign speech activity considerably differ from those used in civilian higher education institutions, and can have both positive and negative influence on the success of educational goals. To eliminate negative psychological and pedagogical conditions in foreign language teaching, the aspect of motivation to learn a foreign language by military students is analyzed; on the basis of the data analysis the main principles of teaching master's students in a military university are proposed.
