PRIORITY DIRECTIONS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS
The relevance of the research problem is due to the need for high-quality professional and methodological training of the future educators. The study outcomes are aimed at solving the problem of high-quality professional training of a future foreign language teacher, since today a new type of teacher is in demand: all-round minded, capable of making non-standard decisions in the constantly changing context of one’s activity. The regulatory and legal framework for the pedagogical activity of foreign language teachers in the Republic of Belarus, regulating the functioning of higher education organizations, is presented. Methods of theoretical analysis were used to achieve the goal: synthesis of scientific sources; a method of interpretation for comparing and summarizing the studied materials, formulating general and specific conclusions. Analysis of the works of Russian scientists, as well as foreign authors, made it possible to highlight the main directions of professional and methodological training of future foreign languages teachers. The scientific novelty of the given study is in the authors’ solution to the identified problem, as well as their personal contribution to theory and practice of training and education. The theoretical significance is that an analysis of the state of development of teachers’ professional and methodological training is given. The practical significance of the study is in the possibility of applying the results in the practice of foreign language teachers as scientific and methodological support. The stages of ideological foundation of the educational process are considered. The authors proposed means of professional and methodological training for future foreign language teachers: communication skills; possession of methodological thinking; developed analytical skills. The pedagogical conditions for professional and methodological training of future specialists are considered.
